I have been a patient of TanDent for several years. During that time, I experienced the dentists and assistants as very professional, informative and friendly. The clinic is equipped with the most modern equipment, including a 3D scanner, which replaces the bite. With the scan, the dental partner can make a crown very precisely, which fits immediately without grinding. TanDent is highly recommended.

How many times a year should I go to the dentist?

We recommend making a dental appointment twice a year for a periodic dental check-up, during which any problems, such as cavities, are detected and treated to prevent further complications. TanDent welcomes new patients and you can easily register on our website. We will then contact you to schedule your first appointment. We look forward to your visit.

From what age should I take my child to the dentist?

We welcome children to our dental practice in Haarlem and would like to emphasize the importance of taking your child with you to your dental visits early. This helps children become familiar with the dental environment. We recommend doing this from the age of two, as younger children do not yet understand the procedures. Carefully monitoring baby teeth and learning dental care at a young age are essential for lifelong healthy teeth.

Can my child go to the dentist for free?

Children up to the age of 18 are entitled to free oral care in the Netherlands. Therefore, take your child to your dentist visit at an early age: in many cases major dental problems can be prevented if preventive action or intervention can be taken early and thus prevent the need for expensive treatments later in life.

Most treatments are reimbursed by basic insurance, but not all of them. For example, the costs for orthodontics and crowns and bridges are usually not (fully) reimbursed by your health insurer. We recommend that you consult your health insurer so that you know exactly which costs are covered and which costs are for your own account.

General check-ups and necessary treatments (prevention / dental hygienist, fillings, root canal treatments, photos, etc.) are reimbursed as standard for children (up to a maximum amount per year).
